Fortune Engineering

We spend most of our days at Hig 56 in the 9th Phase of Kphb Colony. It’s a busy corner of Kukatpally where we handle the engineering stuff that comes our way. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps and tools lying around where someone just finished a job. We’ve been at Fortune Engineering for a while now, just working through the piles of orders that come in. Most mornings start with the sound of the shutters going up and the smell of grease. It’s not a fancy office. We have some old chairs and a desk covered in drawings that have seen better days. People stop by when they need something fixed or fabricated. Sometimes the machines are loud and we have to yell over them to hear what the customer wants. We try to keep things moving because there is always a backlog. Kukatpally is getting crowded so getting parts delivered can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We just deal with it. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning and they stay that way until I go home. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the lathes and the welding kits. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a part needs finishing for the next day. That’s just how it goes here.
