Srinivasa Non-Ferrous Foundries

Srinivasa Non-Ferrous Foundries is located right across from the IDPL factory in Balanagar. We've been in this spot for quite some time now. Most days are pretty much the same here. We deal with non-ferrous castings, which means there is a lot of heat and smoke coming from the furnaces. It’s a messy job, but someone has to do it. The workers here know the routine. We spend most of the morning getting the molds ready and then the afternoon is usually for pouring. If you come by the shop, you'll see a lot of sand and scrap metal lying around the yard. It isn't a fancy office by any means. We focus on getting the shapes right for whatever parts are needed that week. Sometimes the power goes out in Balanagar, and that really messes up our schedule, but we just manage as best as we can. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. They know the sounds the machines make when something isn't right. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure the metal is at the right temperature before we pour. We don't really do much advertising because people around here already know where we are. Usually, someone just drops by with a drawing or a pattern and asks if we can cast it in brass or bronze. We just tell them how long it will take and get to it. That's how things work at our place.
