Scrap International

So, we’ve been running Scrap International over here on Road Goutham Nagar in Ferozguda for a while now. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of metal and old things piled up in the yard. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun gets too hot, because moving heavy iron and copper is a lot harder when it’s boiling outside. We spend a good chunk of our time just sorting through what comes in on the trucks. Sometimes it’s just old pipes or broken bits of machinery that nobody wants anymore. It gets pretty loud with the clanging of metal, especially when the neighbors are around, but that is just how it is in this part of Ferozguda. We try to keep things somewhat organized so we know where the aluminum is and where the steel goes, but it’s a constant battle against the mess. There’s always dust on everything, and by the end of the day, our hands are usually black from the grease and rust. We don’t really have a big office or anything, just a small spot to sit down and do the paperwork when someone drops off a load. People around here know the address, and they just pull up when they have something to get rid of. It’s a basic life, honestly. We deal with the scrap, talk to the drivers, and try to make sure everything is weighed right before the sun goes down.
