Our shop, Sri Renuka Devi General Store & Pooja Items, is tucked away in Jawahar Nagar, Yousufguda. The address is 8-3-228/1280/50/A, which sounds complicated but it's just a spot in a busy residential neighborhood. We decided to combine general groceries with pooja supplies because that’s what people around here usually ask for. You’ll find incense sticks, lamps, and powders right next to the usual household stuff. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside with all the stock, but we manage. Yousufguda is a lively place to be, and there is never a dull moment. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. We aren't some big supermarket where nobody knows you. Here, we know what kind of tea you like or which festival you're preparing for. We keep things pretty informal. There’s no dress code or anything, just us in our regular clothes helping out. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so it gets a bit warm in the summer, but we keep the fan going. We just do our best to keep the shelves stocked so nobody has to go too far to find what they need for their home or their prayers.
