Sri Mehta Road Lines Pvt Ltd is situated at 2-79/3 in the Ali Complex over in Bowenpally. It’s a busy area for transport, so there’s always the sound of engines and horns in the background. Our office is just a simple room in the complex where we keep track of where our vehicles are and what they’re carrying. It’s not the most stylish place, but it works for us. We have a couple of old chairs for visitors and a lot of logbooks piled up on the shelves. Most of our day is spent on the phone, talking to drivers who are out on the highway or customers asking about their stuff. Bowenpally has a lot of these kinds of businesses, so we’re in good company. We don’t really go in for big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just sit around, drink some water, and figure out the best way to get a load moved. Sometimes the computers act up, or the heat gets a bit much, but we just deal with it. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything, we just want to get through the day’s tasks without too much trouble. It’s just us, the trucks, and the road. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here at the Ali Complex every day. We just try to keep things moving.
