Sri Annpurna Cottage Industries

We operate out of Shed No 4/2 on Nacharam Road in Mallapur. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of sheds just like ours around. We consider Sri Annpurna Cottage Industries a small operation because we still do a lot of things by hand. Our team is small, mostly people from the surrounding neighborhoods who have been with us for a long time. We make various food products, and the shed is always humming with the sound of some machine or another. It’s not a glamorous place. The walls are just plain and the floor is concrete, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. We don't have a marketing department; we just let the products speak for themselves. If someone wants to buy from us, they usually just show up at the shed or give us a call. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the raw materials that come in. If they aren't right, we send them back. We don't want to put our name on something that isn't good. The summer months get really hot under the metal roof, but we just drink a lot of water and keep going. We aren't looking to become a giant company; we just want to keep the shed running and provide for our families. It is hard work but it is what we know and we do it every day.
