Our shop is tucked inside Doulat Complex on Subhash Road. If you know where the Mahankali Police Station is, we are just a short walk from there at Shop Number 3. It’s a small space, but we’ve made it work for a long time. The street outside is always noisy with traffic and people heading to the market, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We usually open up around ten and spend the first hour just cleaning the glass and getting things ready. Sreenath Jewellers isn't one of those massive showrooms you see in the city center. It’s more of a local place where regulars stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question. We sit behind the counter most of the day, looking at small pieces and talking to whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power acts up, but we have a backup for that. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets a bit more crowded. We keep the ledger books by the drawer and try to stay organized, though the desk usually ends up a mess by evening. Working with jewelry requires a lot of patience and steady hands, which can be tiring after a few hours. We don’t do anything flashy, just the usual work that keeps a small business going. It’s been our routine for years, and we’ve gotten quite used to the rhythm of Subhash Road.
