Site Engineer

This is the office for Site Engineer in Anantapur. I am S. Venkatesulu, son of S. Ramanna, and our place is at D. No:6-31 in Sathyadeva Nagar. We are right on Ballary Road, which is pretty convenient for getting around. The zip code is 515001. It’s a simple brick building. Inside, there is a large wooden desk that my father used before me. I have my computer there now, along with a bunch of site logs. The air in Anantapur is often dry and dusty, so I’m always wiping down my monitors. We have a couple of plastic chairs for visitors, but they don't get used much. Most of my work happens out in the field, so this is just a place to store files and take calls. The traffic on Ballary Road is constant, so there is always a hum of engines in the background. I usually start work very early before the heat gets too bad. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where I get my morning fix. The office floor is concrete and easy to sweep out. We keep our surveying poles in the corner next to the filing cabinet. It’s a very basic setup, nothing flashy at all. It’s just how we do things here. If you’re driving down the road, you might miss us if you’re not looking for the door number. It’s just a local spot for local engineering work. I spend my Sunday afternoons cleaning the equipment and organizing the truck.
