Site Engineer

The office here at Site Engineer is right across from the Uppal Bus Depot. It’s a busy spot in Hyderabad. You can always hear the buses pulling in and out from our place at H. No:3-088. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside if we leave the windows open too long. I spend most of my mornings here checking plans on the table. It’s just a basic room with a few chairs and a lot of papers. People often stop by just to ask for directions because of the depot nearby. Being a site engineer means I’m usually out on a project, but this is where the paperwork happens. The walls are a bit plain and have some marks on them. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s easy for the workers to find us since everyone knows the depot. I usually grab tea from the stall around the corner before starting the day. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just wait it out or head to the site early. It’s not a fancy setup, but it works for what we do. The fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. My desk is usually covered in site maps and old coffee mugs. It feels like a real workspace, messy but functional. We handle things locally from here. If you walk past the bus stop, you’ll see our door. It’s nothing special, just a place where we get the jobs sorted out.
