Site Engineer

I am Madhunaik, son of K. Govindunaik. I live and work out of Mukthapuram Thanda, which is in the Mudigubba Mandal of Anantapur district. Being a site engineer in a place like this is different from the big cities. We deal with what we have. My home is my base. I spend most of my time traveling around the mandal to look at different sites. It is a lot of riding on dusty roads. The work is mostly helping people build their houses or small sheds. I check the levels and make sure the masonry is done right. It’s not a fancy life. The sun can be very harsh in Anantapur, so we start early in the morning. I don't use much technology besides my phone and a few basic tools. People in the village and the surrounding thandas know me. I’ve been around here my whole life. My father is well known, and I just try to keep up the good name by doing honest work. Sometimes things go wrong, like a pump breaking or the sand not being clean enough. We just fix it and keep moving. I don't have a big office with a sign. If someone needs me, they usually just come to the house or find me at a site. It’s a simple way of working. We don't need any complicated systems to build a good, strong wall for someone.
