Siri Ram Engineering Works

Siri Ram Engineering Works is located over at Plot No 28 in Akshaya Enclave. We are right there in Shobana Colony, and you can usually hear us before you see us. Engineering works involves a lot of noise—grinding, cutting, and the occasional bang of metal on metal. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this plot for a good amount of time. Akshaya Enclave is mostly residential, but our little corner is where the heavy lifting happens. We have a lot of machines that take up most of the floor space, so you have to watch where you walk. Shobana Colony is a nice area, and the neighbors have mostly gotten used to the sounds of our work. We start early when it’s still cool outside because the heat from the machines and the sun can get pretty intense by midday. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. We’re in boots and overalls, getting our hands dirty. Sometimes people drop by with small repairs, and other times we are working on larger pieces that take days to finish. We just take it as it comes. There’s a certain rhythm to the work that feels good once you get into it. We keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the measurements.
