Down in Jeedimetla, at Plot No. 1004 and 1005, you will find Shri Lakshmi Engineering Industries Limited. We are located in Ram Reddy Nagar, which is a busy industrial patch. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to move things around. The sun beats down on the roof most of the year. It is a loud place with various machines running most of the time. We have a lot of steel and parts laying around in different stages of completion. The workers know their way around the shop floor even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. Jeedimetla has grown a lot and there are shops everywhere now. Getting trucks in and out of Plot 1004 can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We have been at this address long enough that the local tea stall knows our orders by heart. There is always grease on someone's hands and a job waiting to be finished. We do not go in for fancy talk or big promises. We just show up at the site in Ram Reddy Nagar and do the work that is required. The gate stays open during the day and there is always a bit of dust in the air. It is just how it is in this part of town. We keep the registers updated and try to stay on top of the daily grind. We are just practical people doing practical things.
