Shiv Tractors sits on Todermal Lane right near the Mahadev Cinema on R.P. Road. It is a spot that many people pass by when they are heading into town. The cinema is the big landmark that helps everyone find us without getting lost in the backstreets. R.P. Road is usually bustling with activity and we are right in the thick of it. We deal with tractors and machinery so things can get a bit dusty and greasy around here but that is just part of the trade. We have our workshop and the front area where we talk to people who come in. It is a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day. We don’t worry about having a polished look because that is not what our customers care about. They just want their equipment looked at. The lane is narrow but we manage to move the big machines in and out when we have to. It takes some skill to drive them through the traffic. We have been in this part of the city for a long time now. The local tea stall is where we spend our breaks. It is a straightforward business and we are just regular people working hard. There is always a lot to do especially during the farming seasons when everyone is in a hurry to get their fields ready. We are usually here from early morning until late evening when the cinema crowd starts coming in.
