Shakthi Engineering Works

Our workshop, Shakthi Engineering Works, is pretty easy to find if you know where Kakatiya School is in Saraswati Nagar. We are just near there in the Dilshuknagar area. Being close to the school means there is always a bit of a crowd around when classes let out, but inside the shop, it’s all about the metal and the machines. We do a lot of general engineering stuff. People bring in things that are broken or they need a specific part made, and we see what we can do. It’s a dusty place, mostly because of all the grinding and drilling we do on a daily basis. We have been in this part of Dilshuknagar for a while, so the neighbors know us. We don't have a fancy website or a big front desk. You just come in, show us what you have, and we talk about it. Usually, there is some scrap metal in the corner and a few projects waiting for their turn. It’s just a few of us working here. The days are long, but we like the work. It feels good to take a piece of raw material and turn it into something useful. We just try to be fair and do the work as it comes. There’s no big secret to it, just keeping the machines oiled and the tools sharp and making sure the work is finished on time for the locals.
