Shafali Fabrics Pvt Ltd is tucked away at 8-3-236/1 in the Yousufguda area. It’s a busy neighborhood with plenty of people moving around all the time. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of cloth and maybe a bit of dust from the fabric rolls. We’ve got shelves stacked high with different materials. It isn't the most organized place in the world, to be honest. We often have to move three things just to get to the one thing we actually need. The lighting is a bit dim in the back corners, but we know where everything is kept. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we’ve developed our own way of doing things that might look a bit chaotic to an outsider. We don't use any high-tech systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big ledgers or noted on scraps of paper. It’s just how we’ve always done it at this Yousufguda location. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and vendors, which you eventually just stop hearing. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We just handle the fabrics, talk to the people who come in, and try to keep things moving. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying, but it keeps us busy. We mostly just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the fabric is handled properly.
