Sandilya Consulting Engineers is based in Amberpet. It’s an older part of Hyderabad with a lot of character. We don’t have a flashy office in a high-rise building. We are just tucked away in the neighborhood. The streets here are narrow and people know each other. It’s a different vibe than the newer parts of the city. We do our engineering work from here. Most of our days are spent checking calculations and looking at prints. It’s quiet enough for us to focus. Amberpet has its own rhythm. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the shops change hands over the years. We are just a small team. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. If a job needs doing, we figure out how to do it. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit. We talk about the local news or what’s happening in the market while we wait for the lights to come back. It’s a simple setup. We have some old desks and a few computers. It gets the job done. People usually find us through word of mouth. We don’t do any big advertising. We just stay here and work on whatever project is on the table. It is a steady way of living. We like the local food around here too. There is a small tiffin center down the road that makes a very good breakfast for everyone.
