Safe Children'S Hospital

Safe Children'S Hospital is right in the middle of the main market at House No 16-2-741/D/5. Being in the market means it’s never quiet. There is always the sound of vendors shouting and cars honking right outside the doors. Inside, it’s a different kind of loud, usually with kids crying because they have to get a shot or they’re just feeling miserable. It can be pretty draining working with sick children all day, but you get used to the chaos after a while. We have colorful posters on the walls to try and make it look a bit less like a hospital, but at the end of the day, it’s still a place for medicine. The waiting area is almost always full of parents looking tired and kids playing with whatever toys are laying around. I spend most of my shift checking people in and making sure we have enough supplies in the cabinets. It’s a lot of hand sanitizer and checking temperatures. We don't have a lot of extra space, so everything has to stay in its place or the whole system falls apart. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door, but we just put a bucket out and keep moving. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy place, but it’s where we work every day. We just focus on seeing every child who comes in before we go home.
