Candy Childrens Hospital

Being on Shaikpet Road in Toli Chowki means there is always a lot going on outside. This hospital is specifically for children, so you can imagine it gets pretty loud. There are usually kids crying or running around the halls while their parents try to keep them still. The building is located at 8-1-351/8 and we’ve been here long enough that we don't really notice the traffic noise anymore. We have small beds and a lot of colorful things on the walls to make it look less like a hospital, though it’s still very much a medical facility. The staff stays busy checking temperatures and writing down notes in charts. It's a lot of paperwork. Toli Chowki is a crowded area, so parking can sometimes be a bit of a headache for the parents. Inside, we have different sections for different needs. It's not a polished corporate place; it's just a hospital where we do the work. The floor is tile and it gets mopped constantly because children spill things or track in dirt. We keep a lot of basic medicines in stock. Most of our day is just talking to worried mothers and fathers. It’s a tough job sometimes but it's what we do. We try to keep the wait times down, but with kids, things always take longer than you think they will. That's just how a children's hospital goes on a daily basis.
