Our workshop is over at 22, T.I.E. in Balanagar. If you know the area, it’s mostly industrial, so there’s always noise and movement around here. S & U Mek Engineering has been part of this landscape for a good stretch of time. We spend most of our hours on the shop floor dealing with mechanical parts and whatever engineering problems come our way. It's dusty work sometimes, and the tea breaks are probably the most important part of the afternoon to keep everyone going. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. When you come by, you’ll probably find us in overalls or talking over a machine. Balanagar is a busy place, and being in the Technocrats Industrial Estate means we’re surrounded by other people doing similar hard work. We just focus on what’s in front of us. Some days are slow, some are chaotic, but that’s the nature of engineering. We’ve got a core group of guys who have been here through everything. We don't really bother with big speeches about what we do. People bring us work, we look at it, and we get it finished. It’s pretty straightforward. The address is easy to find if you’re familiar with the estate. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for us and our clients know exactly where to drop off their stuff. It’s just a regular business doing regular work, nothing more and nothing less.
