Refrigeration Engineering Works

Our shop, Refrigeration Engineering Works, is located at 7-4-171 in Ranijung. It’s a bit of a cluttered space, but that’s because we always have parts and machines everywhere. There are tools on every table and the floor usually has some metal scraps on it. We spend our time fixing things and putting them back together. It’s greasy work and our hands are rarely clean. Ranijung is a busy area and we’ve been in this specific spot for quite some time. The building is old and the paint is peeling in some places, but it holds up. We don’t have an air conditioner in the front, ironically enough, so we just use a big pedestal fan that rattles. We mostly work with locals who have been coming to us for years. They know we don’t talk much, we just get to the repair. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought and we have to stay late under the tube lights. We aren't a big company with a fleet of vans. It’s just us in this workshop. We like the smell of grease and cold metal. It feels like real work. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the sound of a drill or a hammer. We’re just here every day, doing what we know how to do. No fancy business suits here, just work clothes and boots. We try to stay out of the way of the traffic outside.
