Real Bakers is situated right off Sagar Link Road over in L. B. Nagar. If you come by early in the morning, you can smell the bread from the street. We’ve got a team that starts work while most people are still sleeping. It’s a busy kitchen, lots of flour on everyone's aprons and ovens that never really cool down. We make biscuits, breads, and various baked goods that go out to shops around the area. It’s a lot of repetitive work—kneading, traying, and bagging. We don’t have a fancy storefront with decorations. It’s more of a production space where we focus on the dough. The heat from the ovens makes it pretty warm in there, even with the fans going. We use big sacks of flour and sugar that get delivered every few days. The floors are a bit worn out from all the carts rolling over them. Sometimes a batch doesn't rise quite right and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the job. We aren't some big corporate chain. We’re just a group of people in L.B. Nagar who know how to bake. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short walk to work. We just keep the ovens hot and the racks full. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
