We've been at this spot for a while now, right above the Sai Plywood shop in Gosha Mahal. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here. Most days start with the sound of wood being moved downstairs. Ratan Impex is just a small team of us handling the import-export stuff. It isn’t always glamorous work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through piles of paperwork to make sure everything is moving like it should. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the tea guy is late, but we get through the day. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we can sit and focus. We see the same faces every day in the building. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes with all the boxes. We’ve learned to navigate the stairs carefully when the plywood delivery trucks are blocking the entrance. It's just part of being in this part of town. We don't really do big meetings or have a fancy reception desk. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and us trying to keep things organized. Usually, we're out by six unless there's a big shipment coming in late at night. You get used to the rhythm of the neighborhood after a while. It feels like home even when the dust from the street gets in. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing to keep the business running from this corner of Gosha Mahal.
