If you walk down Vikasnagar in Dilsukhnagar, you will probably hear us before you see us. Making rolling shutters isn't quiet work. We have been at 4-22 for a long time now, and the shop is usually covered in a bit of metal dust. It is a family thing, really. My uncle started it, and now we all just pitch in. The sun gets really hot in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy welding and cutting done early. The engineering side of things is handled in the back where it is slightly cooler. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. Usually, someone just stops their bike outside and asks for a quote. We write it down on a scrap of paper and get to work. Dilsukhnagar has changed a lot since we started, with more shops and more noise, but we are still here doing the same thing. Our hands are usually dirty from the grease and the iron, but that’s how the job goes. We take pride in the fact that our shutters are on half the shops in this street. Sometimes things get delayed because of power cuts, but we always tell the customer the truth about when it will be ready. It’s just honest work with some heavy tools and a lot of sweat, day after day. That is how it is around here.
