Our clinic, Ramanthapur Physiotherapy And Rehabilitation Clinic, is tucked away on Mee Seva Road, specifically in the Kallu Compound Lane. It can be a little hard to find if you aren't looking for the Compound Lane signs, but once people find us, they usually keep coming back. The room is filled with exercise mats, some weights, and those large rubber balls that people use for balance. It’s not a very fancy setup, but it’s what we need for the daily work. The lane outside is usually quiet, which is nice because it helps people focus on their movements. I spend a lot of time helping folks do their stretches or making sure they are standing the right way. We have a couple of treatment tables that have seen better days, but they are still sturdy. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few charts showing how muscles work. Sometimes the Mee Seva Road traffic gets backed up, and we can hear the horns, but mostly it is just the sound of people working hard to get their strength back. We don't have a front desk person, so we usually just yell out when someone walks in. It’s a very hands-on job and we go home pretty tired every evening. The air in here always smells a bit like liniment or muscle rub. It’s just a honest place for people to get moving again after an injury.
