Radhika Kamisetty

This is Radhika Kamisetty and I’m writing this from my place at H.No 12-10-587/9/1 in Medibavi. We are located in Sithaphalmandi, which is a very old and busy part of Secunderabad. My house and my workspace are pretty much the same place, so I am always around if someone needs something. I grew up in this area and I have seen it change so much over the years. It used to be much quieter, but now there are shops and houses everywhere you look. I decided to start this work because I wanted to stay active and contribute something to my community. It isn't always easy balancing family life with work, but I make it work somehow. My friends and neighbors often come by to see how things are going. I don’t have a big staff, so I do most of the typing and organizing myself. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but we just wait and get back to it. Secunderabad has a certain rhythm to it and I am glad to be a part of it. I try to be helpful and kind to everyone who comes through the door. It is not a corporate office with glass walls, just a regular home where real work gets done every single day. I like it this way because it feels more personal and real to me. Most people seem to appreciate that too.
