Princess Durru Shehwar Children General Hospital

Located in the historic area of Purani Haveli, the Princess Durru Shehwar Children General Hospital serves a lot of local families. It is a very traditional part of town, and our building reflects that. We are right in the middle of everything here. The hospital is usually packed with people from the neighborhood. It is a general hospital, so we see all kinds of health issues, though we do see a lot of kids. The atmosphere is quite loud and busy most of the time. We have old wooden desks and metal cabinets full of files. There is no digital screen telling you your turn; we just call out names. It works for us. The staff here has been working together for a long time, so we all know how the day goes. We start early and end late. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we run out of chairs, but we manage. People come here because they know us and we are close to their homes. There isn't anything fancy about the way we work. We just provide a place for people to get checked when they aren't feeling well. The smells of the local food stalls often drift into the wards during lunch. It is just a normal, busy hospital in an old part of the city. We do our best with what we have and keep the doors open for everyone.
