Pradeep Kandlikar

I’ve been working under the name Pradeep Kandlikar here in Hyderabad for several years. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out with the daily tasks. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it’s a simple space where we get the work done. Most of the day is spent on the phone or handling requests that come in through the door. It’s not always quiet, especially with the city noise outside, but you get used to it after a while. I started this because I wanted to do things my own way, without all the meetings and extra talk that usually happens in bigger places. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to catch up on files or fix things around the office that have been broken for weeks. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just provide a service that people in the area need. A lot of the people who come to see us are regulars. They know my name and I know theirs. It’s a very local way of doing things. I keep a calendar on the wall that is usually scribbled all over with notes and reminders. It’s a bit messy, but it works for me. Hyderabad is a big place, but our little corner feels small and manageable. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever the day brings.
