Power Tech Engineers

Our workshop is tucked away at Door No. 5-5-5-258/A/9 in Vignan Puri Colony. Since we’re right at the backside of the Metro in Kukatpally, you can hear the trains rumbling over the tracks every few minutes. It’s a sound we’ve gotten used to, but visitors always seem to notice it. The colony is a mix of houses and small businesses like ours. We have a lot of heavy tools and parts scattered across the workbenches. It’s an engineering space, so don't expect it to be clean. There are metal shavings on the floor and a constant smell of grease and burnt solder. We spend most of our hours bent over various components, trying to figure out why something isn't working right. The space is a bit dark, so we use portable lamps to see the small details. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise if we’re testing something late, so we try to keep the loud stuff for the mornings. We don't have a receptionist; if the bell rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see who it is. The paperwork is kept in a drawer that’s hard to open. It’s a honest, gritty kind of place where the focus is strictly on the machinery and the technical problems in front of us. We just take things as they come, one repair or project at a time, without any fuss.
