Patel Engineering Ltd.

Operating out of Rajeev Nagar is interesting because it’s a busy residential area. Our office for Patel Engineering Ltd is actually in Sai Surya Apartments, Flat G-5. It belongs to Jayakrishna.D, and he’s been kind enough to let us use the space for the company business. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which is actually quite nice for the staff. We’ve got a kitchen where we make our own lunch and tea. Being in a flat means we have to be careful about not making too much noise for the other residents. Hyderabad traffic is always a topic of conversation here every morning when everyone finally makes it in. We manage various engineering contracts from this desk, dealing with vendors and keeping track of laborers. There’s a lot of phone calls all day. The walls are covered with project calendars and some old photos of completed jobs. It’s a bit cramped when we have all the site maps spread out on the dining table, but it works for what we need. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just the name on the door. It is a very normal place with very normal people working hard to make sure our projects stay on track. We prefer it this way instead of some expensive office downtown where you can’t even open a window or get a decent cup of tea.
