Navya Engineering Industries

You’ll find us tucked away behind Sifco in the Fathenagar Industrial Area. Navya Engineering Industries has been at Plot No 13-172 for quite some time now. It’s loud here. There is always the sound of cutting metal or something being welded in the back. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil spots on it. We work on various parts and components that other companies need for their machines. It's dirty work, but someone has to do it. My hands are usually stained by noon. We have a few lathes and milling machines that have been running since before I started. They’re reliable. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon fixing it instead of finishing the order. That’s just how it goes in an industrial estate. The air smells like hot steel and coolant. We aren't a massive factory, just a bunch of guys who know how to read a blueprint and handle a wrench. It gets hot in the summer, especially near the welding bays. We keep a fan going but it mostly just moves the warm air around. People come by looking for specific spares or custom jobs. We take a look, tell them if we can do it, and then get to work. It’s straightforward. No frills. We just try to make things that fit and work like they are supposed to. Last week the light in the back corner flickered out and we had to finish a job with a flashlight. You just do what you have to do to get the parts out the door.
