National Power Tool

You can find us at National Power Tool at 5-5-101 S 8 on the ground floor of the Sri Lokapuri Complex, which is in the Balaram Chambers in Ranigunj. It’s a crowded building with a lot of different businesses, but we’ve been in this ground floor spot for a while. We sell and fix power tools, so the shop is usually full of drills, saws, and grinders in various states of being repaired. There’s usually a bit of oil on the counter and the smell of motor brushes in the air. We aren't the type of place that has everything in a neat display. Usually, you have to ask us where something is and we'll pull it off a shelf in the back. It's a busy atmosphere with people coming in to get their tools sharpened or fixed so they can get back to their own jobs. Ranigunj is a hectic area to work in, but it’s where all the action is for this kind of trade. We don't have a big marketing department or anything; we just know our tools and how to make them run again. Most of our customers are tradespeople who have been coming to us for years because they know we won't give them a hard time. We just take the tool, look at what’s wrong, and tell them when it will be ready. It’s basic and it works for everyone involved. Some days the shop gets really crowded when everyone comes in at once, but we just take them one by one. There is always tea being brewed in the back if things get too slow.
