Uj Designs

Uj Designs operates out of the Concrete Palazzo Apartments in Nacharam. It’s an interesting place to work because it’s a residential building but we keep our design stuff going here. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and sketching out ideas on paper. Nacharam is a busy area with a lot of different businesses and people moving around all the time. Our space is usually cluttered with drawings, samples, and coffee mugs. We aren't one of those big firms with a glass building in the center of the city. We just have our room and our computers. Sometimes the neighbors in the apartments pop by to see what we are working on. We try to keep things simple for everyone. When someone wants a design, we sit down and talk about it without using too many big words. It is just about making something look right or work better for their needs. The light in the apartment is pretty good in the mornings, which helps with the work. We deal with the usual city stuff like traffic noise outside and the occasional power cut. We just reset the routers and get back to it when the lights come back on. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to create things that people like. We don't have a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they heard about us from someone else in the building or around Nacharam.
