Mm Kirana & Dry Fruit

Mm Kirana & Dry Fruit is right in the middle of Begum Bazar, specifically at Dr.No.15/8/218. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially in the mornings. We spend a lot of time sorting through bags of almonds, cashews, and all the usual stuff you’d find in a kirana shop. The floor is usually covered in some dust from the sacks, and there’s always someone asking for a price on something. We’ve been here at this spot for quite some time now. It’s not a shiny supermarket, just a regular shop where we keep things on the shelves and try to keep track of what’s running low. The ceiling fan hums all day and we usually have some tea around four. Begum Bazar is a hectic place to work, but we like being part of the noise. Dealing with the suppliers is a daily thing, and sometimes the shipments are late, which makes things a bit stressful. We just try to get the bags stacked neatly so people can see what we have. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes around. It isn't anything fancy, just a straightforward place for people to get their groceries and nuts. We stay open until late evening most days. The place smells like raisins and spices and there is always a lot to do before we lock up.
