A R Engineering Works

A R Engineering Works is situated at D No 3/13/112/7, on Fci Road in Gokul Nagar, over in Mallapur. It’s not a very fancy place, just a regular workshop where we spend most of our daylight hours. The road outside is usually busy with trucks going toward the warehouses, so it stays pretty dusty around the entrance. We have a big rolling shutter that we pull up every morning, and that’s when the work starts. Inside, the floor is mostly concrete with some oil stains that have been there for years. We have some heavy machinery that makes a lot of noise when it’s running, but we’ve all grown used to it by now. The air in Mallapur gets quite hot in the summer, so we keep a few old pedestal fans blowing just to keep the air moving. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small corner with a wooden desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes neighbors from the other units come by just to chat or ask for a specific tool they’ve misplaced. We drink our tea in small glass cups twice a day when the boy from the corner stall brings it. It’s a simple routine and it suits us fine. We don’t go in for big displays or marketing. People just know we are here at this address. We focus on getting the tasks done and then we head home when the sun goes down.
