Limra Printers

Limra Printers sits over at Door No. 11-5-436/4 in Lakdi Ka Pul. If you know the area, we are right across from New Pragathi Art Printers. It’s a competitive little stretch of road but we all just do our own thing. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of cardboard and sample books lying around on every flat surface. We have a heavy metal shutter that we pull up every morning, and the sound of the traffic outside is constant. People come in through the front door with their files and we spend a lot of time staring at computer screens trying to fix margins. The air smells like chemicals and warm paper, which is something you stop noticing after the first hour. Our chairs are a bit old and the wheels squeak when we move from the desk to the printer. It’s not a corporate office with fancy uniforms or scripted greetings. We just talk to people like normal and figure out what they need. Sometimes the machines jam up and we have to get our hands greasy fixing them, but that’s just part of the job. The light in here is a bit yellow from the old bulbs, and we usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep us company. It’s a steady life here in Lakdi Ka Pul, watching the city move by while we get the printing done for whoever walks in through that door today.
