Sigma Microsystems

We have been working out of 24/A in the Hardware Park for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to the international airport. You can hear the planes taking off all day long while we are inside working on different systems. Being on Srisailam Highway Road means there is always a lot of traffic out front, so we usually try to get in early to beat the morning rush. Sigma Microsystems is basically a small team of us sitting at our desks or workbenches. We deal with a lot of small parts and technical stuff that requires a good bit of focus. The lighting in the shop is bright because we need to see what we are doing with those tiny components. Some days are slower than others, but there is always something to fix or a board to look at. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea because the walk to the nearest stall takes a bit too long when we are in the middle of a job. It’s not a fancy place with marble floors or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get the work done and go home. We have some metal shelves stacked with old parts and boxes that we might need one day. It feels like a real workshop should. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to keep things moving along without much fuss.
