Precision Engineering

We are located at D 9 on Road No 8 in the Ida. It’s an industrial area, so it’s pretty noisy most of the time with all the machines running. We’ve been working out of this shop for years. It’s not a clean or quiet place. There is always dust and the smell of metal and oil in the air. We spend our days at the benches, working on various parts and pieces. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty five minutes after you start. We don't have a front office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back near the lathes or the drills. We take orders, we make the parts, and we send them out. That’s pretty much the whole story. Most of our tools are old but they still work just fine. We don't see the point in replacing something if it’s still doing the job. Sometimes we have to work late to finish a specific project, but we don't complain much about it. It’s just how engineering work goes. The neighbors are all doing similar stuff, so we all know each other. We might borrow a tool or a bit of material now and then. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. No frills, just lots of metalwork and long hours. We usually eat our lunch together at the big wooden table in the corner before getting back to the machines.
