Kakinda Seaport

Even though our name is Kakinda Seaport, our office is actually located at Plot No 25, Road No 2 in Banjara Hills. It’s a bit of a strange thing being so far from the actual water, but this is where we handle all the administrative stuff and the planning. Banjara Hills is a busy, upscale area, so it’s a lot different from the actual port environment. We spend our days coordinating between the people on the ground at the coast and the clients who come to see us here in Hyderabad. The office is decent enough, with some chairs for visitors and a lot of computers running. We deal with a lot of logistics and big-picture stuff that keeps the port running smoothly from a distance. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and looking at maps and schedules. We don't really have a "style" here; it’s just about being practical and getting the information to the right people at the right time. Sometimes the commute to Road No 2 is a pain because of the traffic, but once we are in the office, it’s just steady work. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous, we just want to make sure the ships have a place to go and the cargo gets where it belongs. It’s a lot of coordination and a lot of patience, mostly.
