K M D Engineering Works is situated at H. No B-10 in the Co-Op Industrial area of Balanagar. The pin code is 500037. This is an industrial zone, so it’s always loud with the sound of machinery and metal. We fit right in. Our workshop is full of tools, grease, and various projects in different stages of completion. We aren't the kind of place where you’ll find clean floors and white walls. Engineering work is messy, and our shop shows it. We handle a lot of different repairs and fabrications. Some days we are welding, other days we are at the lathe. We’ve been in Balanagar for quite a long time now. The guys who work here have been doing this for years. We don't talk much while we work because of the noise, but we know what needs to be done. It’s a straightforward business. A customer brings in something broken or a design they need built, and we get to it. We don't use fancy software for everything; sometimes a chalk drawing on the floor is how we figure things out. It’s practical work for practical people. We don't have a big office staff. If you call, you'll probably hear a machine running in the background. We just focus on the metal and the machines. It’s what we know how to do best. Being in the industrial estate means we have everything we need close by. It’s a good spot for us.
