Johari Engineers & Contractors

Johari Engineers & Contractors is situated in Dilsukhnagar, very close to the Konark Theater. Anyone who lives in this part of the city knows how busy Dilsukhnagar can get, especially in the evenings. Our office is right in the middle of all that action. We do engineering and contracting work, which means we spend a lot of time out at sites, but this is where we keep our main base. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it works for what we need. We started Johari Engineers because we had the skills and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We have a big table where we spread out our maps and contracts. It gets pretty loud outside with the theater crowds and the traffic, but we just shut the windows and get on with it. We aren't big on corporate meetings or fancy presentations. We usually just talk things over while having some chai. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. People know they can just drop by and talk to us about their projects. We’ve seen the area change so much over the years, with new shops opening and old ones closing down. We feel like a part of the local history now. It’s not a glamorous job, but we enjoy the challenge of building things and seeing a project through.
