Jilani Engineering Works

If you go down toward the YSR Statue in Ayyappa Society, you’ll find us easily. We’re located at Plot No. 895. Jilani Engineering Works is the name we’ve had for a long time. It’s right in the middle of Hi-Tech City, though our part of it feels a bit more like an old-school workshop than the big glass office buildings nearby. We do a lot of metal work and various repairs here for the neighborhood. There’s always the sound of grinding metal or someone welding going on. It can get pretty hot inside the shop, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the roof. We started this place because there was a need for good hands-on engineering work in Madhapur. Most of our tools have some wear on them and the handles are smooth from use, but they still work just fine. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or painting the walls every year. There’s some grease on the floor and stacks of iron parts in the corner. That’s just how a real engineering shop looks. Neighbors know us by the noise and the fact that we’re always open early in the morning. We handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s small repairs for a gate, sometimes it’s bigger projects for local builders. We don’t have a marketing team or a website. Just some guys who know how to use their hands. People find us because a friend told them we could fix their stuff. It’s a small space.
