Sri Lakshmi Packaging Company

We are based in Manikya Nagar, which is in the Jeedimitla area, right near Chintal. Our specific spot is 6/353/1. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s basically the heart of the packaging and warehouse district. We have rolls of plastic and stacks of cardboard boxes piled up almost to the ceiling most days. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep the floor clear so we can actually move around. The building is just a big open space with some high fans to keep the air moving, though it doesn't do much when the sun is beating down on the roof. We spend a lot of time taping boxes, cutting materials to size, and loading up the small trucks that come into the lane. The lane itself is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a puzzle to get the vehicles in and out without blocking someone else. We know the guys at the other shops nearby, so we help each other out if someone needs a hand moving something heavy. It’s hard work on the hands, especially with the constant cutting and folding. We don't have any fancy automated systems, just manual labor and a few basic machines to help with the sealing. It's an honest day's work and by the time evening rolls around, we are all pretty tired. We just lock the gates and hope for less traffic on the way back home. It's a busy, dusty place to work.
