Sri Sai Ram Containers

Down at Plot No. 5 in Phase-Iv of the Ida area, that’s where we keep Sri Sai Ram Containers running. It’s an industrial zone, so it gets quite dusty and loud with all the other units around us. We spend most of our time moving empty containers from one side of the floor to the other. There is a lot of stacking involved. The guys usually take their tea breaks near the front gate where there's a bit of a breeze. We have a couple of old machines that need a bit of a kick now and then, but they still produce what we need. It's not the most glamorous work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and wait it out for a bit. The office is just a small room with a fan and some old filing cabinets that don't always close right. We’ve got a few regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know we’re here most days from dawn until dusk. If the gate is open, someone is usually inside working on a batch. We try to keep the yard organized so the trucks can turn around without hitting anything. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes. We just focus on getting the daily quota done and making sure nothing gets damaged in the piles before it leaves the gate.
