Balaji Engineering Works

Balaji Engineering Works is located over at Plot No. 25/a in the IDA Phase-II area. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate, and there’s always a lot of traffic with delivery vans and trucks. We’ve been at this specific plot for a few years now. The space isn't huge, but we make the most of every square inch. We’ve got our machines lined up in a way that makes sense for the workflow, even if it looks a bit crowded to an outsider. Most of us here have grease under our fingernails by lunch. We don't put on any acts or try to sound like a multinational corporation. We are just a local engineering shop doing what we know how to do. The weather in IDA can be tough, either too dusty or too wet, but the work doesn't stop. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep the energy up while we're grinding or welding. It’s a simple setup. You walk in, see the machines, and see the guys working. We handle whatever comes our way, from small repairs to bigger parts. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a magazine, but it’s where we spend most of our lives. We’ve gotten to know the other shop owners nearby, and we help each other out when someone is short on a specific tool or material. It is just basic hard work every day.
