Salasar Packaging

Salasar Packaging is tucked away in Phase V of IDA Jeedimetla at Plot No 146. If you come by, you’ll see piles of cardboard everywhere. We make boxes and packing materials. The smell of paper and glue is the first thing you notice. We have a couple of machines that cut the sheets to size and another one for folding. They make a rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a while. The warehouse part of the building is always full to the ceiling. We have to be careful how we stack things so nothing falls over. It’s a bit of a maze in there. We have a small staff of about eight people. Some of them have been here since the start. We usually have a truck backed up to the loading dock twice a day. It’s a tight squeeze in the lane, especially when other businesses are moving their stock too. The office is just a tiny room with two desks and a lot of samples hanging on the walls. We don't do anything fancy with our own branding. We just focus on making the containers people need for their own products. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in unexpectedly. It’s tiring, but we like the work. Jeedimetla is a good place for a business like ours because everything is close by. We just try to stay organized and keep the machines running smoothly.
