Husnain Tools Centre

If you go down to Old Bhoiguda, you’ll find us at 4-1-59 A/1. That’s the spot where Husnain Tools Centre is. This part of town is very old and the streets can be quite narrow and hard to navigate. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It’s a typical tools shop, packed from the floor all the way to the ceiling with all sorts of items. We have hammers, wrenches, and things I don't even know the names of sometimes because we have so many different bits and pieces. The building itself has a lot of character, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. We spend our days talking to electricians, plumbers, and contractors who need supplies for their jobs. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy boxes and counting out small pieces. There is always a smell of metal and oil in the air inside, which we’ve grown used to over the years. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here in Old Bhoiguda. We sit on small wooden stools behind the counter and wait for the next person to walk in. Sometimes we have tea with the guy from the shop right next door. It’s a very slow-paced life in some ways, but it stays busy enough to keep us going. We just try to find whatever tool is being asked for.
