Federal Exports

You can find us up on the eighth floor of Babukhan Estate in Basheerbagh. It’s a busy building, especially with all the traffic outside in this part of town. We’ve been operating Federal Exports from this office for a good number of years. It’s mostly desks, phones, and a lot of paperwork. Dealing with exports means we are always looking at clocks to see what time it is in other countries. It gets a bit hectic when shipments are delayed at the port or when the paperwork gets stuck. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of people; we’re just a small team trying to keep things organized. The elevators in this building can be slow, so we usually just settle in for the whole day once we get upstairs. We handle all sorts of logistical stuff that most people don't think about. It’s not very glamorous, just a lot of checking lists and making sure the containers are where they need to be. We don’t have a flashy website or a big PR person. We just answer the phones and get the documents signed. Basheerbagh is a noisy place, but once you close the office door, it’s just us getting through the daily tasks. We take our tea breaks together and talk about how the business is changing. It’s just how we run things here at Federal Exports. We don't try to be something we aren't.
