Sri Srinivasa Engineering Works

Our workshop is in Fathenagar, quite close to Pipeline Road. It is a simple place to find if you are familiar with this part of town. We have a lot of heavy metal-working equipment squeezed into our space. Most of what we do involves fixing broken parts or making new ones when a customer brings us a sample to copy. The air inside always smells like burnt metal and machine oil. That is something you just get used to after working here for a few days. We usually start very early in the morning to get some work done before the heat becomes too much to handle. The machines we use can be a bit difficult sometimes. We have to spend time cleaning and fixing them ourselves. We are not a corporate office with people in suits. We wear old clothes and our boots are usually covered in fine dust. There is a lot of noise from grinding and drilling throughout the day. We handle everything from tiny bolts to much larger steel structures for buildings. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to just sit outside on the wooden bench and wait for it to come back on. We know almost everyone on this street. It is a working neighborhood and we fit right in. We don't make big promises to anyone. We just look at the job and do our best to get it finished on time. It takes a lot of patience to work with steel like this.
