About Rotex Engineering Works – Engineering in Hyderabad
We are tucked away in Postoffice Lane at Shop No 5 161. It is a narrow spot but we have been here for a long time. Engineering work is mostly what happens inside these walls. There is usually grease on the floor and the sound of machines running throughout the day. I remember when we first moved in, the lane was much quieter than it is now. Now there are bikes and people moving past all the time. Most of our tools have been with us for years and they still work fine if you treat them right. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising because folks around here already know where to find us. It gets a bit dark in the back of the shop during the rainy season but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. Sometimes a job takes longer than expected because parts are hard to find. We just handle it as it comes. It is not a clean job, my hands are always stained by the end of the shift. That is just how it is in this line of work. Every day feels a bit different even though the shop stays the same. The Postoffice lane gets a bit crowded around lunch time when the post office workers go out for food. Sometimes we have to move our equipment just to let a small cart pass through. It is not an ideal setup for a large business but for us it is home. My brother used to help me out here but now it is mostly me and a young lad who is learning the ropes. He is still getting used to the noise of the grinders.
