B Balappa Welding Gen Engg Works

If you ever find yourself in Fathenagar, specifically in Valmiki Nagar, you might hear the sound of our welding machines. We are located at H No 11 175/2, which is a small workshop where we handle all sorts of general engineering tasks. Most of our work involves welding, so there are always sparks flying and that distinct smell of hot iron in the air. We fix broken gates, weld together frames, and sometimes help people with repairs on their small vehicles or tools. The shop is a bit cluttered with pieces of scrap metal and old welding rods, but we know where everything is. We have a few heavy workbenches that have seen a lot of use over the years. It is a physically demanding job, and your eyes can get tired from looking through the dark glass of the welding mask all day. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; people just know Balappa’s place when they need something joined together properly. Sometimes a neighbor will drop by with a broken chair or a bicycle frame, and we just tackle it right then and there. It is a simple life centered around the torch and the anvil. We just open the shop every morning and wait to see what kind of repair work comes through the door. The floor is concrete and stays quite cool in the early mornings.
